National Career Development Association (NCDA) offers (FCD) Facilitating Career Development training to provide individuals with relevant skills and knowledge to assist others in planning careers and obtaining meaningful work. Students will be required to successfully complete (12) competencies training that includes up to (120) hours of instruction. The NCDA-FCD Training Program is taught by Certified and Credential NCDA-GFCDI instructor, Patricia Rogers who has been trained in the Delivery of FCD Training Curriculum online.

The NCDA-FCD curriculum addresses major career development areas and provides up-to-date resources, references, career-related website and much more. The NCDA curriculum has been approved by The Center for Credentialing & Education, Inc. Individuals that successfully complete The NCDA-FCD  Training Program-are eligible to apply for the ‘new’ NCDA-(CCSP) Certified Career Services Provider credential and/or (GFCD) Global Career Development Facilitator credential.

Encore Virtual Career Academyteaches the NCDA-FCD training program curriculum through an online canvas classroom comprised of discussion board posting assignments, journals entries, and requirement suggested reading from the Facilitator Career Development Student Textbook Manual 4th Edition, which consists of face to face group sessions using Zoom platform to satisfy the (12) competencies FCD requirements.  Students can proceed sequentially at their own pace with the instructor only around to evaluate the student’s progress and reflect on the on board assignments and their responses to the discussions.

To be Eligible for a CCSP Certification, You Must Meet the Following:  

  • What is a Certified Career Services Provider Credential?

  • CCSP (Certified Career Services Provider) credential is intended for providers offering career services in an array of roles and settings. Providers might be consultants, coaches, advisors, workforce practitioners, facilitators, trainers, recruiters and resume writers.

  • CCSP credential is issued by the NCDA Credentialing Commission.

  • CCSP is a registered credential exclusively owned and controlled by NCDA.

  • Upon successful completion of a NCDA FCD Training program, one may apply for credentialing through the NCDA Credentialing Commission.

  • Individual must successfully complete all 4 competencies based case studies to be awarded an (CCSP) certification.

  • The Credential is awarded for 3 years with 30 hours of continuing education required during the 2 year period.

  • There is an annual maintenance fee to maintain the (CSSP) certification.

  • Continuing education is available but not limited to the universities, college government agencies, private providers and must address one of the 12 career development competencies.

What is a certified GCDF Services Provider Credential?

  • The credential is designed to be culturally relevant, incorporating norms and best practices within a country or community. The GCDF requires candidates to adhere to a written and enforceable GCDF code of ethics, obtain training and have professional career development experience. The credentialing period is five years.

  • The GCDF credential, is owned and managed by (CCE) Center for Credentialing & Education, Inc. NCDA is one of the CCE approved curriculum providers that offer the required GCDF training.

  • Professionals who successfully complete 120-hour (minimum) comprehensive training of the (12) FCD core competencies using an approved curriculum are eligible to apply for a GCDF certification.
